Membership Committee

The Chamber, the Membership Committee is the largest, and the committee that puts members in touch with members and potential members on a daily basis. Committee members are involved in one or more of activities as Membership Recruiters, Ambassadors or Retention advocates. Listed below are the many opportunities committee members enjoy while serving on Membership:

  • Ambassadors; the name says it all. They deliver new member packets, meet and greet at the monthly meetings, attend ribbon cuttings and open houses, promote involvement by attending new member orientation and new member breakfasts, encouraging participation through committees, programs and events.

  • Retention efforts start at the moment you join.  Retention committee members make phone calls, personal visits, and send letters. They attend monthly meetings, open houses, after hours networking socials and assist members discover the return on their investment in SMABA membership.

  • Membership Recruitment; committee members share their experience and success as SMABA members with business contacts, invite them to meetings, open houses, after hours socials and other events where other SMABA members show the value of our organization.

What can SMABA do for you? Why not let us show you?
