Health Care Programs Most small business owners will agree that the rising cost of health coverage has become more and more difficult to control over the years. That is why we are so excited to be able to offer SMABA members the SMABA 1st Health Plan. SMABA has partnered with the health carrier Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and the benefits firm FSAB LLC. to offer our small business owners complete benefit packages with special discounted pricing especially for SMABA members. SMABA has negotiated a discounted rate for group health plans for its members. Business owners will have access to multiple Anthem plan designs. These plan designs include various deductibles, co-pays, and prescription coverage. Members will also be able to choose from Consumer driven plans such as health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRA). One of the major goals of the plan will be to create a healthier SMABA. FSAB LLC. will be partnering with small business owners to develop programs that empower their employees to consistently make better choices and take solid steps to improve their health. This will be achieved by utilizing some of the tools that Anthem offers its members such as health risk assessments, worksite wellness programs, and other health initiatives. The establishment of this association health plan is a major accomplishment for SMABA. It will be the first association plan in Louisville in over six years and only the second of its kind in the last fifteen years.
