St. Matthews Community Festival in Brown Park Date: , June 12, 2010 Time: Noon-4:00p.m.
This festival is held in June, features a stage show including Radio Disney’s Extreme Team, Ronald McDonald, Live Music and Entertainment. A petting Zoo, pony rides and hayrides are also enjoyed. The “Make It Take It” craft tent offers take home craft projects. The Tumblebus brings smiles to the kids every time. Challenge Zone is always a big hit with the rock climbing wall, a bungee run and inflatable bouncies. Children can have their faces painted and win prizes at our game station. It is a fun filled day that is entirely free to everyone. Food concessions and fund-raising efforts are offered by local service groups. Sponsorships are available to our members for this event. Sponsor and have a booth to display your business.
Halloween Festival in Brown Park Date: Saturday October 23, 2010 Time: 11:00AM - 2:00PM
This special event in October is a community favorite, attracting over 1500 children and countless adults – and best of all, it’s FREE, too! The festival offers music, games, and attractions such as hayrides, petting zoo and trick-or-treating through our “haunted forest.” Children and families meander through the park collecting goodies from the businesses which are set up along the way, awaiting the little “ghosts” & “goblins” with treats and surprises.
Light Up St. Matthews in Brown Park Date: December 4, 2010 Time: 4:00PM - 6:00PM
SMABA’s biggest project in the annual Light Up Brown Park held on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. “Light Up” features Radio Disney, letters to Santa, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, train rides, horse-drawn carriage rides, petting zoo, Ronald McDonald, strolling carolers, cookies, hot chocolate and apple cider and much, much more. At 6:00 pm the switch is thrown and Brown Park “Light Up” with thousands and thousands of lights. And…it’s all FREE! Sponsorships are available to our members for this event.
